Including juices in the diet is a good option for a healthy lifestyle. But many people make common mistakes while including juices in their diet. If you want to get optimum benefits from juices, follow these simple rules:

Don’t Drink Juice on a Full Stomach

Drinking juice on a full stomach doesn’t harm but wouldn’t give you best results. Fresh juices should only be consumed on an empty stomach. This way vitamins and minerals in the juice go straight to bloodstream. You can consume juice at least two hours after a meal.

Juice is Not a Meal

Treating fruit juice or green juice like a meal is not a good habit. Juice isn’t a meal replacement. You can use it as a snack or healthy natural drink.

Consume Fresh Juice

You should consume fresh juice, don’t refrigerate your juice drink. When a fresh juice exposed to air, its healthy enzymes begin to degrade. If you don’t want to consume juice straight away, transfer it to a dark airtight container.

Avoid Too Many Sweet Fruits

Sweet fruits like watermelon, mangoes, pears, and carrots are very nutritious when consumed whole. But it would not be a good idea to consume juiced. The amount of natural sugar and fructose can increase the insulin level.

Not Using Variety of Green Leafy Vegetables

Some People don’t use a variety of green leaves for juice. You should experiment with different greens and try to rotate them regularly. There are lots of options available like carrot tops, lettuce, parsley, wheat grass, cilantro, beet tops etc.
